I am a father of two children. My younger daughter, Makiko, has Down Syndrome.
She was born in 1982, and now works at an old-age home on part-time. She has
a sister, Yukiko, born in 1979.
Makiko is cheerful and mild, so she is a general favorite. She plays the piano
and takes ballet lessons. She can ride a bicycle, so sometimes we goes on a
cycling tour at the seaside. She likes singing and dancing, too.
We live in Ikeda City, Osaka prefecture, Japan. We take part in several groups
for her, such as the association of parents who have the disabled children.
We like mountaineering and traveling. In 1995 we visited Rome, Naples, Paris and Versailles.
In 1998, we climbed Mt. Tateyama, 2992m in height. In 1999 we visited China and climbed the
Great Wall.
